Growing together - cultivating knowledge: Guilds and tribes
Successful work requires professional dialogue, technological vision and a constant increase in knowledge. To ensure that this is not neglected in the day-to-day work, colleagues from the Consulting & Solutions department, where customer projects are managed, and the Development department have joined forces to prepare knowledge and transfer it to the teams.
Software development has created cross-team guilds. The members of a guild come from the same technical area and provide support on all topics related to their area of expertise. They share knowledge and evaluate new technologies and practices, such as software quality, GIS or UX.
In the solution, analogous guilds have been formed in which the members see themselves as 'masters'. From databases to GDI to operations, knowledge is processed and expanded, and best practices, standards and conventions are bundled.
